Easter

We had the best Easter!  It was so fun to have our little boy to celebrate with.  We spent Palm Sunday with Travis' family and Easter weekend with my parents, brother and sister-in-law.  Tyler loved the Easter egg hunt.  He actually picked up the eggs and put them in his basket.

River Parade...photo op with Eva & Easter Party

We have had a very fun and eventful week.  We started Monday with the kick-off of Fiesta week for the River Parade.  Fiesta is a week long celebration in San Antonio. Fiesta really is one of America’s truly great festivals. It began as a way to honor the memory of the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. That commemoration still takes place. But over the past century and more, Fiesta has grown into a celebration of San Antonio’s rich and diverse cultures. (from visitsanantonio.com)

Travis' parents hosted us at Club Giraud for the River Parade.  It is always a fun time with lots of music, pinatas and yummy food!!  It will be a fun tradition for our family.

My friend, Sarah Anne, and I hosted an Easter party for our close friends and kiddos.  We had a great time dyeing Easter eggs.  We had lunch--Chick food (chicken salad and pb&j cut into crosses and bunnies), Peeps salad (pasta salad) and Fruit of the Spirit (fruit:).  Sarah Anne got lots of cute things for the kids to put on their eggs to make them extra special.  We had a great time!

11 Months

Where has the time gone??  Seriously!  We have just loved every month with our sweet boy.  It's hard to believe he is one month away from being one!  He is growing and changing so much...more little boy and less baby:(.  We continue to thank God for our blessing!  A verse that has been an encouragement to me this month-

"The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. "  Isaiah 58:11

What Tyler has been up to this month:

  • Has  a better appetite, likes table food much better--even taco soup!
  • He is still on Prevacid, but reflux is almost resolved
  • He still loves his bottles, drinks 28-32 ounces a day
  • Favorite toy is his dog kennel and stethoscope
  • Pulling up and cruising--not wanting to walk quite yet
  • Becoming more verbal- can associate mama and dada, bye bye, hi, make the dog noise:)
  • Loves being outside and stroller rides
  • Total of 6 teeth
  • Loves bath time
  • Weighs 19 pounds

Loves all the dog kennels--small and large

Catching Up..February and March

We have had a very busy month and I am way behind on blogging!  At the end of February Tyler met his great-grandmother, Mama Nick.  It was his first long plane ride and he did great!  We had a great time seeing Bruce's side of the family and introducing our little T.

Four generations

The first weekend of March I had a girls weekend with my dear friends from college.  We went to my friend Lexi's parents' lake house.  It was a weekend of hoodies and no make-up.  The Lees treated us to pedicures!  We had a blast--lots of good girl time!  We missed our Betsy although she was welcoming their newest addition to their family- baby Joshua.  My parents kept Tyler all weekend while I was gone.  They, of course, had a blast!  We got fun news from my brother and his wife, Emily.....

Yay!!! I am going to be Aunt Katy!! We are so excited for this baby's arrival in October!!
Our friends the Picketts just welcomed Joshua Ethan into their family!  He is just precious and we can't wait to meet him.  He was born on March 9 weighing 7 pounds and 21 inches.  We thank God for this sweet little boy!
