Chicken Pox

Just one month after being vaccinated for them, Tyler got chicken pox!  Crazy, I know, you don't hear of it very often anymore.  Tyler did great--mom was much more worried than he was.  He didn't seem to even notice them...didn't scratch at all!  We did oatmeal baths (he loved) and smothered him in calamine lotion (which he hated:).  He recovered fairly quickly- the spots started going away on Day 4.  Here are some photos of our little spotted son!

13 Months

This week Tyler is 13 months!  He is really starting to look more toddler-like and less baby.  We are loving how he is growing and changing into this little boy.  We grow to love him more and more everyday and are so thankful God has allowed us to be his parents.

Tyler- here are a few things you are doing at 13 months:

• You are crawling and cruising everywhere!  We are still waiting for the first steps, but you are perfectly content crawling around and CLIMBING in and out of everything!
• You are starting to say more words like "Ba" for Ball and "Ga" for Go
• You love to eat now- you eat most everything we eat, your favorites are watermelon and eggs
• You drink from your sippy cup all by yourself and you love soy milk
• You love to read- especially the touch and feel animal books
• You still have 6 teeth- 4 on top and 2 on bottom
• You love to be outside- your favorite is riding in the wagon

Daddy Day Care

Last Saturday I worked all day 7a-7p and Travis was in charge of little t for the day.  They had a great time being boys:)  I missed being with them, but know they had a great day together!  They started off the morning with a run in downtown Boerne, stop by the Quinns and a trip to HEB.  They ended the day at Guadalupe state park at the river.  What fun!

May updates!

We have had a fun, busy month!  I can't believe May is over.  We started out the month celebrating Tyler's first year which is has already been blogged about:)  We went camping as a family for the first time.  It was mom and Tyler's first time tent camping!  We went with some other families from our Sunday school class and had a great time.  Tyler slept well..until 7:30 am!  He slept later than mom and dad.  We had a visit from the Thomas family (my dear friend Jenn from college and her family from Dallas).  They came to SA for the week and we had dinner together while they were here.  Tyler had his first trip to the Hyatt Hill Country and floated the lazy river.  He loved the floating!  We also celebrated our friend, Burke's 30th birthday in Port Arthur.  Tyler stayed in Fredericksburg with MeMa and Grandpa Bruce.  We had a great time seeing our friends and Tyler loved his time with grandparents!
